Hangzhou Medical College (HMC) is a full-time public undergraduate medical college for public service directly under the People's Government of Zhejiang Province, and managed by the Health Commission of Zhejiang Province. Founded in 1925, the HMC possesses four campuses in Lin'an, Huanglong, Binjiang and Qingshanhu, 1 directly affiliated hospital, 14 indirectly affiliated hospitals, 8 provincial key laboratories, 5 provincial engineering research centers, 1 post-doctoral research workstation, and 18 various science and technology service platforms.
In 2019, Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee and Government decided to merge the former Hangzhou Medical College and Zhejiang Academy of Medical Sciences (the largest comprehensive medical and health research institution for public service in Zhejiang Province, with more than 40 years of postgraduate education) to form the new Hangzhou Medical College.
People's Hospital of Hangzhou Medical College (Zhejiang Provincial People's Hospital, ZJPPH) was established in 1984. It is a large-scale comprehensive grade-A tertiary hospital directly under the Health Commission of Zhejiang Province, integrating medical treatment, scientific research, education, prevention, health care and rehabilitation. In 2022, the performance assessment of national tertiary public hospitals ranked 25th in China.
1. Application
1.1 Eligibility
1) The applicant is a foreign citizen holding a foreign passport, over the age of 18 and under the age of 40, with good moral character and physical health. More information about the applicant’s nationality refers to the official document.

2) The applicant for master's programs must have a bachelor's degree in majors related to medicine or biology.
3) Comply with laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China. Obey the regulations of Hangzhou Medical College.
1.2 Application Documents (*necessary)
Notes:
1. Applicants must fill out and upload relevant application materials on time and truthfully in the designated online registration system of the school (to be notified by the HMC).
2. Applicants are required to mail the paper version (color copy of the original) of the following application materials to the International Affairs Office of the HMC, and the electronic version (color scanned copy of the original) of the application materials must be sent to the email address of the International Affairs Office of the HMC (2022000008@hmc.edu.cn).
3. The 2024 registration deadline is within 24:00 on August 31, 2024 (Beijing time). Applicants must complete the online or offline submission of application materials on time.
Application materials:
1) *HMC Application Form (attachment).
2) *Scanned copy of passport including photo page and visa page with at least 6 months validity from the submission of the application.
3) *The original documents or notarized copy of highest education diploma, degree certificate and transcript are required. Provisional graduation certificate or certificate of enrollment is acceptable upon application. Documents in other language shall be supported with notarized Chinese or English translation.
4) *Personal statement. No less than 1000 words, written in Chinese or English, including personal study and work experiences, application reasons, and research plan.
5) *Police Clearance Certificate (issued in recent 6 months). Submit a certificate of no criminal record for foreigners by their home country, and a certificate of no criminal record by China for foreigners who have been studying or working in China.
6) *Recent 2-inch half-length bareheaded full-faced color photo (white background). Other requirements refer to the passport portrait photo.
7) *Language proficiency certificates. Applicants shall prepare the official Test Score Report and the Certificate of the HSK4.
8) Economic guarantee certificate (parental income certificate, bank deposit certificate or other possession certificate).
9) *Physical Health Examination Form of Foreign Personnel (issued in recent 6 months). FOREIGNER PHYSICAL EXAMINATION FORM (attachment).
10) Other supporting materials. Applicants who have been studying or working in China shall submit certificates of enrollment, graduation or employment. Submit published academic papers or academic achievements (if any).

Tuition Fee Exemption: The first academic year tuition fee will be exempted for all admitted students. Tuition fee for the second and third academic year will also be exempted for those students who meet the stipulated requirements after assessment. Tuition fee exemption shall not exceed three academic years.
4. Admission and Notification
1) The enrollment department and school of the HMC conducts a preliminary review of the application materials.
2) Each professional school organizes a unified reexamination.
3) The results of reexamination are released by the International Affairs Office of the HMC. Then the college will inform the applicants with admission materials including Letter of Admission and Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) and so on.
5. Fee Structure (Currency unit: Renminbi Yuan=Chinese Yuan=CNY)
(Payment: Each applicant pays the application fee upon application. Each student pays the fee of this academic year upon the registration of each academic year.)

2) Tuition Fee: ¥42000 per person in each academic year
3) Insurance Fee: ¥800 per person in each academic year
4) Accommodation Fee: ¥6000 per person in each academic year
5) Physical Check-up Fee: ¥540 per person
6) Visa Fee: ¥400 per person in each year
6. Registration
Registration will be in September, 2024 (Beijing time). For exact date, please refer to the Admission Notice. Students should register with X1 visa and all original documents upon the HMC’s requirements at the assigned place within the stipulated time.
Admission will be cancelled if any of the following case happens:
1) Failure to provide all original application documents.
2) Failure to register on time without any notice in advance.

1. Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport:
Located in Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou city, about 27 kilometers west of the city center. 1. Hangzhou Station:
Located in the central area of the urban area, locally known as "City Station", it was founded in 1906 (the 32nd year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty) and was then called Qingtai Station.
